RATS!!

I don't believe I mentioned that Thursday after Christmas we went for a drive to the local pet shop and came home with a white rat. Female.

Well she is cute but by the Saturday she was lethargic and quiet. Son then tells me they really are social creatures and we should get a friend!! I do some research ( my mistake..should have done this at first mention of even son thinking about rats) and yes they do fare better in pairs.

So back to the shop we go..luckily they had another female. Now we have 2!! Son is looking after them and I do admit..I keep some scraps especially for them. I have one on my shoulder as I type..Son is away at his friends and has given permission for 9 yr old sister to play and help feed them!! They are very quick so she left one with me.So far the cats are not interested!! When I get my old computer back and running I will post some pics..this ol computer can't handle even that!! I am thankful it does what it does though..

Ex is back in form..Rang Thursday to say would prob be working ..couldn't have kids..would get back to me..Friday avo..rings to say 16 yr old son is sick and he will be bringing him over. Turns up ..no mention of having the kids. Turns up Sat morning 9.30,,oh its raining..I am not working..where are the kids?? I say..well 9yr old is asleep and 13 yr old is at friends. He says..Oh I will ring later then ..see what they want to do.

1/2 hour later..rings abusing me..Its my weekend..where are my kids?? OMG..I hang up. he rings 16 yr old son..tells him he is getting picked up..be ready to go. Speaks to 9 yr old who tells him she would rather go with me to my mums..he says fine. 2 hours later..no show..I have to take Nic to work so I drop son off at home..Ex is there!!!

I pick up 13 yr old and friend who later rings his Dad asking if they can both go over for night. EX abuses 13 yr old..swearing at him.. Son goes back to friends house for the night..EX sends me an email..saying if I intend on taking him to court so 9 yrold can have right to chose access he will fight me till he dies..blah ..blah ..blah.. Had n't thought about it ..but maybe I will if she wants?? I did for 13 yr old son because he wanted me too.

It is so sad he can't see what his attitude is doing to the kids..

The kids are handling this kind of behaviour from him well..sad but they expect it and accept it like it is normal. Still they have each other and me to fall back onto.
