WATER

My sister rang..a miracle within itself..as the course of the conversation went..I was reminded how bad the water situation is for her and all her fellow Central Coaster's.

Even after all the rain..the dam is not at full capacity..

She was telling me how the water is brown..and the local council gives away stuff to help take away the 'browness' for washing.

Makes you stop and think..

Hello lil harry,

Oh gosh, doesn't sound too good that water situation.
Can't live without water, it's certainly very precious.
I hope things are better with your children.

Take care,
Margaret

My hubby is the water treatment officer for the council here and people often whinge to him about the state of the water as sometimes (especially when the river runs) the water gets a little bit off colour. However, as we moved here from a town that now has Level 7 water restrictions, the townfolk here really dont know just how lucky they are to be able to turn on a tap and not worry. Also, the water is THE best tasting town water I have ever had (and we've lived in quite a few towns!). I actually prefer it over the tank water here.
Its a shame that it takes having no water to really realise how much it's needed. Hopefully the droughts all over start to break soon before everyone is forced to move off the land.
Also, hope you and ALL the kids had a great weekend. Is your son moving back to his home with his dad? I hope your younger son copes ok with all the changes. It can't be easy for him.
Cheers :)

Things are certainly grim...I`ve never seen anything like this before where the winters are without rain...I`m with Beck and pray that this drought does break sooner rather than later as so many lives will be changed forever..(farmers) ect...

Good Morning lil harry, Ever since the ecoli (?) scare in Sydney some years ago I have been hesitant to drink tap water. Bought myself a 'you beaut' $20 water filter from Woollies this week and have been guzzling it. Dizzy spells etc. all disappeared. I had not drank water for months! Not good.
I have never known the ravages of drought. Poor people.

I was however, in two floods in Lismore. Lost everything the first time, Govt. paid me for losses. I was in two floods in Palmer's Island, Yamba, lost everything including van. Govt. paid me for everything including van repairs. On another occasion in Yamba the roads were blocked and my shop closed. I didn't know about claiming then.
