Well it was my , now 14 yr old , sons birthday yesterday. He went to see the Monster Truck show at Newcastle. Luckily the weather cleared up in the afternoon and they didn't get wet. The boys got home around 11 pm. ( they all stayed here the night)
I had a phone call from my Ex's father and girlfriend Saturday .they were on their way down from Qld. So they arrived around 8.45 pm and stayed the night. It was great to see them again. Have not seen them for a few years. Ex's father has lost a lot of weight but he has had a stroke and heart problems and now diabetes. They extended a warm invitation to go visit them up their way.
Ex rang this morning ranting about 16 yr old son having a house party at his house and being charged and then getting a fine from the rail police. I told him son lives with you and you should be on top of things with him and his house was his responsbility. He wanted me to rush over to check out the house.
Nic rang her brother...aparantly he and his friends were roaming around the streets at all hours and didn't feel they could go back to anyones house to sleep so they decided to catch train home to 16 yr olds home but had no money. They got busted and received $50 fines. There was no house party.
Son is remorseful and has learnt a lesson. I also told him he could have rang me. He is now dreading his father coming home. I told him his father is going to yell..because that is what he does..he will just have to deal with it.

With the school year commencing you are sure full on...a shame about the aggravation..teenagers/children are hard enought to rear without someone not working towards harmony..hang in there..most teenagers one time or the other get into strife...tell me about it... and 99% percent of the time grow out of it thank goodness.

I thought for a minute there your 16 year old had done a Corey job like the teen did over here....lol....Sounds like the father needs to get a grip on life and deal with the situations as they arise....

Hello all..yes..For one moment I thought the same about the house party..then I realised son wouldn't do that..ex just in over drive.
Ex definitely needs to get a grip on how to deal with kids and life..Hahahaha..like that is going to happen.
Son had a blast with his friends at the show..you could pay to have a ride in one but the line was too long he said so he 'gambled' all his money on the side shows..as he said...

I hope things work out for your older one... why he would want to live with his father?? I don't know!! but he was lucky to get off with $50 I got caught once and it cost me $200!!!

Teenagers like to have parties when they have a house to themselves for the night so I was surprised when you said he didn't have a party at all.
